My Minis

Hello again! Before I wrap up the day with a rosary prayer and a good night sleep, let me post this mini fun photo shoot first, which I did last week. I posted on my Facebook Fanpage that I’d be having a mini photo shoot with my felties and blog it, but unfortunately, after I did the photo shoot I got hooked up with my weight lifting exercise and forgot about the blog post. Hihihi.

Previously, I did a photoshoot with my first two felties, Pandy Coco and Mr. B. And I’m presenting my other felties here. :) I think they’re enjoying it (I’m still in my right mind huh! :P )

Yes! I Got It

Just recently I was craving for bokeh, but my Nikkor 50mm f1.8 won’t let me do that with auto focus. So I searched for a prime lens that will auto focus with my Nikon D60 and found 35mm 1.8 G. Why have I not found this before when I bought my 50mm? *think* Ah! I know! That’s because 50mm was the cheapest prime lens I’ve found and my salary isn’t enough to buy 35mm (hehehe). Actually, 50mm was a Christmas gift from my brother which I forced him to give to me… hehehe..just kidding. I actually convinced him to buy me one, he’s a kind-hearted brother, you just have to beg him a little :) .

 I think I need a reward for myself once in a while and acquiring this 35mm is one. =P This is also the cheapest prime lens second to 50mm. ^_^ and by that cheap means below 20k pesoses! hahaha. I bought this lens one fine holiday, when I went out to get a Balikbayan box. I didn’t plan to buy that day but excited as I am to have that lens, I said to myself that I should have that ASAP. *wink*

Catching Up!

Ohoi! After the black and white self-portrait, it seems like haven’t got the chance to update what’s next for week 2 of my photo challenge. tsk! Been quite busy a lot lately; I need to finish everything this week and next week so that I can have a peaceful vacation back to my home province Cebu. Just how I really miss everything about this paradise like island. (just don’t mind the city! :P ). Looking forward to seeing good old friends and classmates and just today a primary school teacher asked me to visit out school when I get home, and woot! looking forward to it. ;)

So what now?! (think!) I am quite excited to see my nephews getting big and will definitely cuddle them each day during my stay in Cebu. Hmm..I don’t have actually in mind what to do today, except that I am going to finish something and I am here writing random words. Just to remind myself, this is not 750words.com). Let me just update you on what’s previously and what’s to do next. I think that would be great.

I went out of town last 27th of August with my ex-room mate together with her current housemates and friends, to Bintan Resorts. Ah! A great way to spend weekend at the beach. This is a not so expensive trip as I am with accounting peeps and yeah the difference is that they tend to compute their expenses, unlike us IT peeps just spend however we want to; it’s not like have bigger salary it’s just that we don’t mind spending as long as we are enjoying it, in the end the purpose of having a vacation is to enjoy and forget the busy world, right?! I mean we worked so hard and might as well spend hard, sometimes! (not actually my motto but sometimes I do believe in that :P  ).

{Photo Project} Day 4: B & W Self – Portrait

Day 4. I honestly learn something everyday of this photo project and I hope Era also has learned something. Everyday, it challenges me to think of how to make use of my room (hahahaha!). Anyways, I’m going to tell later how or what I have learned tonight. :) I’m not going to be able to put some tutorial for now but I hope one day I can. hehehe!

Here’s my 4th day black and white self-portrait. Looking forward to Era’s entry. I will update this post as soon as I got Era’s link on her entry. ;)

Ok, I’m going to give tutorial on how I did for my today’s entry. You don’t need to have those expensive flashes (I’m not a fan of flash :P ) and other expensive equipments for you to have this result. :) I realized it’s a good idea to post some tutorials from time to time, so I won’t tend to forget how I did to get that result. :)

I hope Era won’t mind I do a lot of post processing.. hehehe…

For now while I am still planning how to do the tutorial, let me share an interesting article for you to read. :) It’s all about the truth about manipulating photos, for you to further understand why digital photographers do as such nowadays. Here’s the link All Photos Are Manipulated.

{Photo Project} Day 2: B & W Self-Portrait

Day 2 for our B & W Self-Portrait photo project. Unfortunately Era, wasn’t able to take her shot yesterday and she promise to post two pictures today. Let’s see! Can’t wait to see her shots.

Post processed to add more contrast using Photoshop.

LOL to the bath towel in the background, too bad I wasn’t able to get it. I’m kinda tired the whole day and it’s one of the reasons why I didn’t go to the gym. Tsktsk! I’m planning to sleep early tonight that’s why I just went home after work. I tried to keep my energy up for this shot, trying to mimic some energy here, (LOL), just don’t notice my eyes. hehehe..I can’t help..I wish I didn’t tell you..hahaha.!

I hope to have more photo project to come. It keeps my ideas coming out. Hmm..I wonder what will be my shot tomorrow?! (think!!!). 

I’m waiting for Era’s photo project entries. Will be posting the link as soon as she has the pictures ready. ^_^

It’s a tired Tuesday but I’m glad I did made some shutter-button-clicking tonight. Till tomorrow! :)
