We’ll 2010 has been a great year for me, a year full of surprises and unexpected blessings (hmm..is there such a thing like “expected” blessings?.. ). Before I embrace 2011 whole-heartedly..hehehe..I would like to give 2010 a tribute by recalling why it has been a great year for me. ^^,

Random Thoughts on Christmas!

Thursday, December 24th, 2009

Just finished cooking for the noche buena. Yes, I am the chef…hahaha..hopefully all the food I prepared are delicious..or else…hahaah… I made some not so sweet for my mom though so that she’ll be able to taste it… and I’m strict when it comes to her eating sweets… hihihi…

I got pain in my legs right now.. I walked yesterday all day… yes… all day… traffic… tired… coz I have to go to colon twice to change the clothes that my mom and I bought yesterday..it’s a little small than she expected… I went back also because I have to buy a new lens. :-) The nifty gift from my brother Michael. I can manually use it though but I liked it…and well I guess I’d be able to master manual focusing.. (no pics for now…I still have to test it though, and been busy in the christmas preparation… hihihi)

Yesterday’s traffic really pissed me off, that I walked from Abellana to Metro Gaisano, and walked again from Metro Gaisano to Colonnade for me to ride on a jeepney. Then went to SM at night for our camera club’s emergency meeting…tired though but it’s worth it, coz I’m with different pro photographers…an inspiration to make my work well… not that great… maybe improve it.. hihihi…

Earlier today, I went to Gaisano Tabunok to buy additional ingredients…ahh… and people really love rush shopping… they love to shop to the last minute…and I hate it…hihi… and I’m tired again, got pain in my legs and in my arms (for bringing 3 1.5L drinks….waaaaa…)…

At last..I’m already done on my cooking and preparation… and already done also in sending Christmas greetings to friends. :-)

And I say… Merry Christmas Everyone! It’s Jesus birthday…and let’s celebrate…

and…

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS!

Our Grown Up Christmas List

Monday, December 14th, 2009

December 11, 2009. Last November, our team decided to have a meaningful Christmas Party, and last week we had it celebrated in the street by giving gifts to the less fortunate ones. We tour around Fuenta Osmeña (rotunda), and look for people who we think needs the gift, shall I say the worthy ones.

You give but little when you give of your possessions.  It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.  ~Kahlil Gibran, The Prophet
We should give as we would receive, cheerfully, quickly, and without hesitation; for there is no grace in a benefit that sticks to the fingers.  ~Seneca

Merry Christmas even to you who feel that you have no-one. You have. You have Christ. When you live in darkness the meaning of Christ is that we know that through Him we will one day come to light. – Ritva Oksanen, Finnish actress
(a 20-year old mom in the street.. :( )

Every time we love, every time we give, it’s Christmas.

(this grandpa waited for his wife, he said that she’ll get him the next day… :(
does that mean that he is going to sleep there? :( )

“Christmas is most truly Christmas when we celebrate it by giving the light of love to those who need it most.”
Ruth Carter Stapleton
(this i makes me want to cry when I saw him smiling
after we gave something for him, and we greeted him
“Merry Christmas Manong!”, and he replied the same…)
Kudos to my teammates, we did a really great job. I am very grateful that I’m able to do something good this Christmas. Congratulations to all of us!
For us!
My Grown Up Christmas List
Do you remember me
I sat upon your knee
I wrote to you
With childhood fantasies

Well, I’m all grown up now
And still need help somehow
I’m not a child
But my heart still can dream

So here’s my lifelong wish
My grown up christmas list
Not for myself
But for a world in need

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal the heart
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end oh,
This is my grown up Christmas list

As children we believed
The grandest sight to see
Was something shiny
Wrapped beneath the tree

But heaven only knows
That packages and bows
Can never heal
A hurting human soul

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end
Oh, This is my grown up christmas list

What is this illusion called the innocence of youth
Maybe only in our blind belief can we ever find the truth

No more lives torn apart
That wars would never start
And time would heal all hearts
And everyone would have a friend
And right would always win
And love would never end, oh
This is my grown up christmas list
This is my only life long wish
This is my grown up christmas list

THANK YOU, LORD,

for the gift of Your love.
May I be a shining
example of that love to others.
Amen.

My Early Christmas Gift

Friday, December 11th, 2009

December 9, 2009. Ricci surprised me with an early Christmas gift, a cute medium-sized teddy and a card. Didn’t expected him to write something for me. :)

(and can’t resist to hug it…)

(our pictures together…weeee)

(for you….and for me… ♥)

(cute little nose…hmmm)

(^_^)
(simple yet full of love… weeeee)

(I know he didn’t write this one, but did chose this one,
and that’s what matters to me, coz through this he’s able
to express what he wanted to tell me… (think) )

(…the unexpected…i never thought i could be one in his eyes.. ♥)

Say hello to Hawk!

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

November 22. Yes, I finally got my new bag for my camera (for my papa not to berate me again on bringing two sets of bags). It’s a gift form meeee… (so ricc won’t tell me again that I only buy things for others, and not for myself…and that I only buy cheap and not branded things… hahaha).  Thanks to both of them, I have got myself a present even before Christmas. :D

(yep…it’s a hawk, and it does cost quite expensive, but i think it’s worth it.)

(hahaha..i just can’t help it…i’m happy)
… one down for my Christmas wish lists… two more things that I really long to have… weeee
Thanks Lord Jesus for answered prayers..
