A look back on 2011 and moving on to 2012!

Warning: This is a long post since this will be a recap on what had happened way back 2011. Not all though only as far as I can remember. :)

This is my first post for 2012. Yey! Hahaha! Where have I been? We’ll here’s what happened. On the eve of 2012, I got sick, really sick that I can’t help but cried. I tried not to cry but the thought that you are alone on that day and you are sick and you know that the people are celebrating new year happily and you’re not. But not to get heartbroken, good thing I managed to get over with that illness. :) You will know later why I got sick.

We went to Johor Bahru, Malaysia on the eve of new year’s day. It our way of treating ourselves, me and my two other housemates, a way to celebrate our new year. We just strolled in the mall and watched a movie – MI 3: Ghost Protocol. It’s the first time that I watched a movie outside the Philippines. And as far as I can remember it has been a long time that I haven’t watched a movie even in Cebu. :) After almost all day walking, eating and a bit of shopping for “pasalubong”, we decided to have a massage. Actually it’s one of the reasons that we decided to go to JB. It was a traditional Thai massage. And as I’ve said earlier, this is the reason why I got sick. Instead of having a good effect after a massage, I got body pains. After the massage, I felt weak not feeling well plus the travel back to Singapore it resulted to me being sick when we got home. The next day, which fortunately was holiday, I got a fever plus I have to work something  on the leave authorization of the employees of the company I’m currently working at. Isn’t it great?

On the first day of January 2012, we decided to just cook to have a post new year celebration, but unfortunately, I was still sick and can hardly move so I stayed all day in bed. I was left in the house alone, as the other people in the house went out. I’m glad that my ex-room mate together with some good friends visited me and I never felt all alone after all. Had some chit-chat and have them ate my first “Biko”.

Moving on, after those incidents and until now, I haven’t had my photography project done. Hahahaha! I didn’t even got the chance to select my top 10 favorite images of 2011. Which I will be doing right now! :) I know this won’t be easy but I will try to pick my 2011 best images. for me! :P

I should have started 366 Project last week, but because of what happened to me, I forgot about it. I know that it’s not necessarily to start 366 photo project on the first day of the year, I can start any time, right? So I’m starting it right now. :) But first I have to give you my top 10 favorite images of 2011. Of course the images that I shot. :p

Top 10 Favourite Photos of 2011

My top 3 choices is this. I just had a look on my shots last Sinulog 2011 recently and I never thought I did have some nice shots. Yes, a year had passed already and just this month I am able to browse the album on Sinulog 2011. I never really had a closer view on many of them. The rest of the photos I chose randomly. :)

What I love about this photo is that this was the first time that I can say I am free. Hahaha! I had the freedom to do what I wanted to do in my room as I was the only one staying there. I did many self-portrait actually this year especially when we got our own flat.

This was during my vacation back in Cebu when Ricci and I went to Simala together.

First outdoor baby photography. This is my favourite out of baby Haelina’s photos I did because I was able to capture her smile which most of the pictures I got was that she looked curious and didn’t smile.

This was my second time I went to Botanical Gardens alone. This is my way of alone-time of myself. I have learned another way of  post processing because of this picture. Hehehe!

All time favourite, a do-it-our-own prenup fun shot. :) I’m glad my boyfriend cooperated. Hahaha!

Actually, I never expected that on my vacation last September 2011 was also the wedding anniversary of my parents. I totally forgot about it. But I didn’t let my short vacation end without me having to photograph them. This was taken at SRP. I really love to reminisce how they both had fun and cool they were during the photo shoot.

First ever I went to Botanical Gardens alone just to give a taste of outdoo shots of my 55-200mm lens.

So that’s my top 10 favourite photos of 2011. I have lots of favourites by the way but that’s all I think is my bestest! Hahaha! So next will be to start my 366 project. I’m still thinking though. It’s not yet too late yeah?! I will start tomorrow. I won’t be cheating yeah! So my 366 project will commence tomorrow. Officially! Hehehe! *crossingfingers*

I think this is not that long post. I’m hungry and so goodbye for now. 5 more days to go and I’ll be back in Cebu.

Happy New Year by the way! I know it’s late but there’s still Chinese New Year! Hahaha!

I hope to have more shots in 2012 and hope that I’ll be able to finish this 366 project the entire year! :) Keep clicking the shutter. I’m excited for my a new chapter in my life. I’ll be updating you soon. :)

Happy weekend!
